Planned Giving Council Breakfast Meeting

A new season begins soon and it is a good time to make sure your membership is current. Please take a moment to confirm your membership is active prior to registering for the September meeting to avoid the guest fee.

The Planned Giving Council will have their next meeting on November 10, 2026. The November meeting will be a panel discussion focused on stewarding relationships.  The panelists will be MK Morales (Boys and Girls Club), Ben Starling (Southern Philanthropy, Inc.), and Barbara James (Baptist Health Foundation).

This panel discussion brings together three renowned veterans of philanthropy in Palm Beach County for a discussion about the strategies, experiences, and relationship-building practices that drive successful major fundraising campaigns for large institutions.  Drawing on their collective experience leading significant development initiatives, the panelists will share stories from the field, practical lessons learned, and proven approaches to cultivating and stewarding donors throughout the campaign lifecycle. Topics will include the importance of authentic gratitude, engaging and retaining major donors, navigating challenging relationships, coordinating institutional leadership and volunteer ambassadors, and transforming a donor's initial gift into a lasting partnership.  Through personal anecdotes and real-world examples, the panel will explore how development professionals can move beyond transactional fundraising to create meaningful connections that strengthen donor loyalty and advance institutional missions.
