Mayo Clinic, a nonprofit physician’s practice and healthcare system headquartered in Rochester, Minnesota with additional campuses in Jacksonville, Florida and Scottsdale, Arizona, is searching for an Assistant Chair/Office of Gift Planning.  This critical leadership role is responsible for developing, executing, and tracking an annual work plan that increases the frequency, quality, and consistency of planned and deferred gifts from all segments of Mayo’s benefactor base to support the institution’s vision for the future.

The Director will be located in Rochester, Minnesota and will serve as a member of the Development Executive Leadership Team.  They will manage a gift planning staff located in Rochester, Scottsdale, and Jacksonville and will work with one of the most professional development teams in the country.

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree and at least ten years experience in fundraising, of which five years include staff management within a deferred gift program at a large complex institution or must have a Masters degree and at least eight years of fundraising experience of which five years include staff management within a deferred gift program at a large complex institution. The candidate must also have strong communication, interpersonal, and relational abilities, leadership skills, and technical expertise in gift planning techniques.  The position has a highly competitive salary range and excellent benefits.
